Legal Volunteer

As a recent Colorado transplant, Alejandra Basanta and her husband Claudio enjoy everything the sunshine state has to offer. Alejandra is currently pursuing a business degree and in her spare time volunteers as a legal volunteer at the Immigration Resource Center of San Gabriel Valley. Alejandra describes her volunteer experience as giving her a new sense of life. A humbling experience, each day she witnesses clients entrusting their hope in the IRC’s small legal services team when it seems that all hope was lost. Upon receiving her business degree, Alejandra hopes to help her community and make a difference with those around her.
