Ruby Wenzlaff

Summer Development Volunteer

Ruby Wenzlaff is a recent graduate of the Sequoyah School in Pasadena. There she had the opportunity to participate in the Social Innovation Program (SIP) focusing on refugee resettlement. She spent time with a family of five who had traveled from Honduras to Los Angeles in a migrant caravan. Ruby learned about some of the needs and challenges when it comes to gaining asylum and citing a credible fear. Ruby says "This has been some of the most meaningful work I've done in my life, and I would love to start it up again.” She is a rising freshman at UC Santa Cruz.
